Today i saw Casablanca film which won 8 academy awards. An America romance film directed by Michael Curtiz was about the love in the war. Rick Blaine (main actor) owned and ran "Rick's Café Américain" nightclub. He was born in New York but lived in Casablanca. Many people wanted to buy his nightclub and pay with good price but he had the same answer- No.

One time, a criminal arrived in Rick's club with "letters of transit" obtained through the murder of two German couriers and asked Rick to hide it for a hour. That papers allowed the owner to travel freely around German-controlled Europe and to neutral Portugal, and from there to the New World. After that this criminal was taken up. Then Rick met his ex-lover Ilsa Lund with her husband in this nightclub. Rick's life was in shuffle again from the time he met her who had ever loved him very much in Paris although they didn't know each other very well.

That night, she went in Rick's room to try to explain what happened with her when they were apart, but he didn't want to know or listen any reason from her. Later she came back his room with a gun in her hand and threatened him because the couple need the letters to leave Casablanca to reach America and continue her husband's work. Still could not she shoot him because she was still in love with him at the first met him in Paris. She revealed the truth that her husband was a person she had met before knowing Rick and had believed his death in the war. Her husband was still alive so that she run away from Rick to look after her husband at that time without explaination.

With this truth, Rick forgave her and promised to offer her and her husband escape from Casablanca. In order to do that, Rick had to face to danger, stress and local police, police reinforcement. At the last moment, Rick made Ilsa board the plane to Lisbon with her husband, and said: "Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life." Then he shot a police when he tried to stop the plan. When police reinforcements arrive, Renault-local police- briefly considered his options and told his men to "round up the usual suspects." I am very happy when Rick still alive at the end of this film. He could be a hero with a large-heartedness. How can a men give up his own lover by his dept love like Rick? I admire him and his personality.

Last retake is a pleasant thing. Rick and Renault who saved Rick's life walked and said to Renault:"Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship."
